Iranian President Confirms Honoring Ceasefire
In a phone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Pezeshkian stated that Israel and its allies had attempted to provoke instability within Iran.
“The Iranian people, despite hardships and grievances, stood united and unwavering against the opposite side,” his office reported.
The Iranian president also remarked that the United States became directly involved in the Israeli conflict with Iran after Israel failed to meet its objectives.
He accused the US of "violating international law" by carrying out attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s willingness to engage in discussions and “to reclaim the Iranian nation’s rightful demands at the negotiating table.”
Since June 13, Israel has launched airstrikes on various Iranian locations, including military and nuclear sites, claiming that Iran was close to developing a nuclear weapon—a claim that Tehran has strongly denied.
In response, Iran conducted missile and drone strikes, while the United States escalated the conflict by bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities on Sunday.
